Senior Engagement Manager — Sovereign & Macro Strategy
Role Overview & Strategic Impact
Direct client engagements across sovereign ministries, cross-border infrastructure syndicates, and pan-African holding companies. You will lead multidisciplinary teams to craft defensible capital deployment blueprints and boardroom restructuring strategies.
Primary Accountabilities
- Lead day-to-day delivery of marquee strategy mandates across East, Central, and Southern Africa.
- Coordinate with C-suite stakeholders and non-executive boards under strict fiduciary standards.
- Structure sovereign risk matrices, econometric yield models, and post-merger integration roadmaps.
- Mentor and develop associate consultants and senior strategic analysts.
Candidate Profile & Pedigree
- 8+ years in top-tier strategy consulting (MBB/Tier-1) or sovereign development finance institutions.
- Demonstrated track record leading complex, multi-million dollar cross-border enterprise initiatives.
- Advanced degree (MBA, MPP, PhD, or Master’s in Economics/Finance) from a recognized institution.
- Native fluency in English; French or Swahili operational proficiency is an asset.
